wood fired hot oil heater for stills or cookers

Came across fairly good design for hot oil heater for small fuel processors...thought maybe some of you would like to see it...

this is a great way to heat boilers and cookers because oil can be held at higher temp than water and hot oil can be stored without much heat loss for a few days...this plan is for an atmospheric pressure version so it is not under pressure...this type is safer than a pressurized steam system in some ways...(as long as fabrication is done well)

A few items need some improvement like the door should be cast iron or it will eventually warp...you could use the door from a barrel stove kit for this...

but is a good old mother earth news free plan for basic wood fired hot oil heater for stills or cookers...

Drawings are in the photo gallery...click on plans for larger size then right click and choose save image as to download...
